Moving From Story to Glory
(An Encouraging Testimony)
I was one of the most stupid people on earth!
Last Sunday, by the special grace of God, I delivered another life changing message on Self-examination. I was moved by the Spirit of God to tell the Church how stupid I was when I finished secondary school. Before entering University, I had wasted years playing pool (weekly gambling: to play games of chance for money).
This message is for someone who is as stupid as I was. I have come to give you counsel. Your life will never remain the same again as you adhere! Your life must have a meaning! You are moving from story to glory! You are moving from mockery to miracles. The Lord Jesus Christ is able to deliver you and give you more exciting miracles than you expected. It is the devil who had seen your greatness! His agenda is to destroy the good plans of God concerning your life! See John 10:10.
Honestly, it was dangerously exciting! Every week, I must go to the pool office to stake: Perm and bet! I knew all the clubs: Chelsea, Arsenal, and etcetera. I knew the different seasons: English and Australian. I was doing it every week. I could not win anything!
One day, after checking the result, I looked at other stupid persons there; I noticed that they were all the same! I saw the same shirts. The same trousers and slippers! They all looked so hungry, desperate and frustrated! I told myself, “I don't belong here." I saw myself as someone in prison! I needed to be delivered! I remembered Jesus Christ! He came for that reason in accordance with Luke 4:18. As I prayed, I received the grace to stop that useless venture! That was my last day in the pool office! Praise The Lord!
Beloved, gambling or pool playing or Kālu Kalu or cha-cha is the easiest way to poverty and death! It is for those who hate themselves! It is more deadly than cancer. The Lord warns, “Do not be over wicked, and do not be a fool; why die before your time?” Ecclesiastes 7:17.
Gambling leads to poverty. Poverty and death are cousins! They go in pari passu; side by side; at the same rate or on an equal footing. So many people are into it. They sneak into the gambling or pool office! They don't want people to know what they are doing! Workers, traders, students, etcetera waste their hard earned money through gambling! Has anyone ever become rich from gambling? The ones that started building a house many years ago could not go beyond the foundation level! So many people could not further their education because of pool or gambling! So many businesses; so many shops have closed because of this gambling!
You have crossed to a Fruitful year; decide not to waste your precious time, money and future again! You can make it! Turn to Jesus Christ and depend on Him for the things you are created for! The Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I set you apart…” In furtherance of that, God reminds you, “For I know the plans I have for you; they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11. He will help you out of this stupid lifestyle. I will agree with you in prayers! Jesus Christ delivered me! He will deliver you too!
The smallest step in the right direction will end up being the biggest step of your life. Only the lazy people want to become rich overnight. You can start something. There is something special you are created for. With Jesus Christ, you will discover it. My messages are published every Sunday by THE AUTHORITY NEWSPAPER ORGANIZATION. Note: Studies have shown that children who are addicted to games will surely try it with money! The earlier they are stopped, the better for us. Habits are so hard to change!
